The United Kingdom is to allocate over 35 million pounds for Ukraine’s reform and anti-corruption agendas in 2018-2019.

“In FY 2018/19, the British government is to allocate over 35 million pounds to assist Ukraine under more than 70 projects in seven areas: good governance and reform; anti-corruption; communication; conflict, stability and security; humanitarian law; human rights; education and culture,” the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Ukraine wrote in Ukrainian on Twitter on December 6.

British Ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough in turn said: “Ukraine remains a priority with strategic importance for the long-term security, stability and prosperity of the European continent and for UK interests.”

As UNIAN reported earlier Goesta Ljungman, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative in Ukraine, forecasts annual gross domestic product (GDP) growth in Ukraine would be two percentage points (p.p.) higher if not corruption.
